Wang Dazhi

Wang Dazhi (Chinese: 汪达之; Pinyin: Wāng Dázhī; April 21, 1903[1] -- March 27, 1980[2]) was a Chinese educator.

Wang Dazhi was born in Yi County, Anhui in 1903. He was appointed by Tao Xingzhi (陶行知) to be the president of Xin'an School[3] from 1928 to 1935.

He established Xin'an Lvxing Tuan (新安旅行团), a group of primary school students, to travel all around China for education from 1935 to 1949.[4]

After the People's Republic of China was founded, Wang had been the President of Nanjing Xiaozhuang Normal College, Deputy Director of Chinese Character Reform Committee (中国文字改革委员会), and Party Secretary of Guangdong College of Nationalities (广东民族学院).

Wang died in Beijing in March 1980.
