[edit] Wankster's true etymology
Wankster is a portmanteau of the words wannabe and gangster. Just because it has the word "wank" in it does not mean that it deals with "wanking". That definition is most likely wrong.
If anyone checks with the sources below, the majority of the posters on that site identify it as a portmanteau of "wannabe" and "gangster".

Yeah, I don't think the American-born 50 Cent would be that up on his British dialect to fuse gangster and an entirely alien word like "Wanker."
What the hell is a wanker anyway? 65.120.87.195 15:33, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
- there's a good article at wanker 67.169.31.246 06:04, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
If you actually read the definition of wanker you would know it doesn't mean somebody who masturbates. And the word is wanksta, not wannsta. And "wanker" is a fairly well known word in America. It may not be used very often, but like "loo", "bloke", and "fish and chips", most people know the meaning of it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lisaluvsthakids (talk • contribs) 03:32, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
