What is a "Cantonese Romanization"? Did you mean latinisation? The translation into the latin alphabet?

There is a proposal to create a precedent that names are not encyclopedic. Articles about names regularly show up on various deletion pages and are summarily deleted. Perhaps - since you've been working on an article about a name, you hold a different opinion that you'd like to express. Some Wang clans are descended from nomads who were given "wang" as surname by chinese emperors. 128.147.38.10 15:31, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

I just deleted the info on how many per cent of famous Chinese have the surname Wang, I don't think we should burden this article with this kind of trivia, which obviously come from the almost completely unsourced article in Chinese Wikipedia.
