The Waltons Guitar Festival of Ireland is an annual event celebrating the music of the guitar in its many forms. The largest event of its kind in Ireland, the festival attracts top artists from around the world. It is a comprehensive guitar summer course based in Dublin city centre, comprising of daily tuition, concerts/gigs, seminars, music cinema and exhibitions. The festival is organised by a voluntary committee deeply committed to guitar in Ireland and largely financially supported by Waltons World of Music and the Arts Council. Festival director is classical guitarist Alec O'Leary.

The Walton's Guitar Festival of Ireland is Europe 's most prestigious guitar festival. Over the past three years it has grown to become one of Ireland 's biggest and best cultural events. The festival title itself has become synonymous with quality and excellence. It is now firmly established as a leading event in the Irish festival calendar and attracts thousands of visitors annually.

The Waltons Guitar Festival of Ireland is meticulously planned by an enthusiastic and passionately dedicated team. Employing only the best international and Irish classical, jazz, bluegrass and flamenco acts, all performing venues such as the National Concert Hall, the National Gallery, Vicar St. and many more. The festival creates a hub of cultural activity and offers the public an exhilarating programme of concerts, workshops, masterclasses, seminars, out-door entertainment etc.
