Walton Rowing Club

Walton Rowing Club is an amateur rowing club, on the River Thames in England. It is situated at on the Surrey bank of the Thames at Walton-on-Thames just above Teddington Lock.
The initial establishment of a club took place in 1927 with the contribution of ex members of Thames Rowing Club and Kingston Rowing Club and including active members of Thames Valley Skiff Club. Activities ceased duing World War II and in the postwar period much effort was spent on establishing a clubhouse and boat house. This was established at the present site at Sunbury Lane, Walton. In 1953 Walton Rowing Club was inaugurated and affiliated to the Amateur Rowing Association. The Club has during its existence been associated with the Walton Amateur Regatta, now the Walton and Weybridge Regatta and Walton Small Boats Head.
