Walter of Lorraine (or Walter of Lotharingia) was a medieval Bishop of Hereford.

He was a native of Lorraine and was chaplain to Queen Edith, wife of Edward the Confessor. He was appointed to the see of Hereford about Christmas of 1060.[1]

He was consecrated on April 15, 1061[2] by Pope Nicholas II at Rome. He swore loyalty to William the Conqueror at Berkhampsted after the Battle of Hastings.[1]

He died in 1079.[2]
