Walter Washington (b. 1913) in Hazelhurst, Mississippi is a U.S. educator.
Washington received his undergraduate, masters and doctorate degree from Tougaloo College, Indiana University, and George Peabody College respectively. He went on to serve as the president of Alcorn State University.
Washington was the 24th General President of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, the first inter-collegiate Greek-letter organization established for African Americans.
