Walter Stephan Baring, Jr. (September 9, 1911 – July 13, 1975) was a United States Representative from Nevada.
Baring served in the United States Navy during World War II.
He was elected to represent the State of Nevada in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1949 to 1953, and again 1957 to 1973.
He also had served as a Member of the Nevada Legislature in 1936.
In current Nevada Senator Harry Reid's Book "the Good Fight" He Metiones that On the Night of the assassination of JFK Baring said "he was leading down a road to ommuimmism Its a good thing he was murdered'
