Walter Michael Bortz III is the current president of Hampden-Sydney College, which is located in Hampden-Sydney, VA. According to the Hampden-Sydney College website, Dr. Bortz, in 1985, became the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut. In 1989, Dr. Bortz became the vice president at George Washington University. In 2000, Dr. Bortz was chosen as the president of Hampden-Sydney College.
