Walter Kelly

Walter C. Kelly (29 October 1873 in Mineville, New York - 6 January 1939 in Philadelphia, PA) was a Vaudeville comedian. He was the uncle of actress Grace Kelly (Princess of Monaco). He appeared in several Broadway productions and in several movies. He was sometimes credited as Walter "Judge" Kelly.

Kelly toured for years as The Virginia Judge. He released a recording of his act on RCA Victor records. He brought the role to the movies in the 1935 Paramount film The Virginia Judge.

He published his autobiography "Of Me I Sing : An Informal Autobiography", by Walter C Kelly, New York : Dial Press, 1953 (OCLC: 3399237). He was also the author of a short story in 1935 "The Virginia Judge."

He died from injuries sustained in a road accident.
