Walter James, 2nd Baron Northbourne

Walter Henry James, 2nd Baron Northbourne (25 March 1846-27 January 1923), was a British peer and Liberal politician.

James was the son of Walter James, 1st Baron Northbourne. He was elected to the House of Commons for Gateshead in 1874, a seat he held until 1893 when he succeeded his father in the barony and entered the House of Lords.

Lord Northbourne married Edith Emeline Mary, daughter of John Newton Lane, in 1868. Their second son the Hon. Cuthbert James was a Conservative politician. Northbourne died in January 1923, aged 76, and was succeeded in his titles by his eldest son Walter. Lady Northbourne died in 1929.
