Walter J. Phillips

Walter Joseph Phillips (1884–1963) was a painter and woodcutter. Phillips was born in Barton-on-Humber, Lincolnshire, England. After studying abroad in South Africa and Paris, he emigrated to Canada. He spent the rest of his life in the United States and Canada. Phillips died in Victoria, British Columbia, in 1963.
Phillips is famous for his woodcutings and paintings. His artistic career spanned from the 1900s through the 1940s.
