Walt Lafty (born 12 May 1981, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is the vocalist for the band Silvertide.

Lafty is the second of six children and the only male sibling. He was introduced to music by his father, Bill Lafty, a singer and songwriter who served as an organist & choir director at churches in Northeast Philadelphia.[citation needed] Lafty is married to Amy Lafty.

Lafty is a member of Silvertide, which has been touring since 2002, both opening for major touring acts and headlining shows.[1]

The release is said to be soon, prior to the release of Silvertide's upcoming second album. Lafty mentioned in the blog entry that his solo album may be available on download sites such as itunes on March 11th, 2008.
