Wall of Sound (record label)

This article is about the record label. For other meanings of the term, please see Wall of Sound (disambiguation)
Wall of Sound is an alternative record label from the UK, founded by Mark Jones. It started out producing electronic music genres such as big beat and ambient, but has now diversified to include some indie and hip-hop artists. It is distinguished by utilising the Bauhaus font for its logo and some texts.
In early 2006 Wall of Sound merged with international independent distributor PIAS. Mark Jones is now at the helm of a "super-indie" with a revised roster of acts including the previous PIAS recordings artists Soulwax, Mogwai, Laurent Garnier and Amp Fiddler amongst others.
