Walkersaurus

"Walkersaurus" is mentioned by palaeontologists Welles, Powell and Pickering in a comparative study of Dilophosaurus breedorum, as a new name for Megalosaurus hesperis,[1] a theropod dinosaur from the Middle Jurassic of Dorset, England. However, they do not describe the fossil, nor go into a detailed justification of the change of genus. Therefore, "Walkersaurus" remains a nomen nudum. A new genus name may be employed at some point, as other authors have elected to refer to the taxon as "Megalosaurus" hesperis.[2]
