Walker Russell

Walker D. Russell (born October 26, 1960, in Pontiac, Michigan) is a retired American professional basketball player. He was a 6'5" 190 lb guard.
Russell played collegiately for Oakland Community College, the University of Houston, and Western Michigan University. He was selected with the 9th pick of the fourth round (78th overall) of the 1982 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons.
After his playing days, Russell became an assistant coach for the Toronto Raptors, and is currently a player scout for the New York Knicks.[1]
His son, Walker Russell, Jr., played collegiately for Chipola Junior College[2] and Jacksonville State University,[1] played for the NBA D-League's Fort Worth Flyers,[2] and in October 2007 was signed to a contract with the Knicks.[2]
