Walker Basin is an isolated unincorporated community about 3,300-3,400 feet AMSL located along Kern County Road 483 (Caliente/Bodfish Road) between Havilah and Fig Orchard in the U.S. state of California. Havilah has a U.S. Forest Service facility as the anchor for the town.

The US Geological Survey officially recognizes the place and identifies the coordinate set 35°24′35″N, 118°31′17″W as being in the community. There does not appear to be postal delivery in the area and there are no ZIP Codes associated with Walker Basin. Wired telephone numbers in the vicinity follow the format (661) 867-xxxx.

The area is outside but near Sequoia National Forest lands. Mountains surrounding the community include Breckenridge Mountain, elevation 7,548 feet (2,301 m). The peak is northwest of the above coordinates and about 4,100 feet (1,200 m) higher than the basin.
