Not to be confused with wallaby.
Walibi is the name of several theme parks in Belgium, France and the Netherlands. It used to be an independent company run by Belgian man Eddy Meeus. Nowadays it is owned by French leisure group CDA Parks (part of Compagnie des Alpes).
[edit] In 2008, there were four parks as follows :
- Walibi Belgium, formerly known as Walibi Wavre and later Six Flags Belgium. It is Walibi's first park.
- Walibi Rhône-Alpes
- Walibi Aquitaine
- Walibi World, formerly known as Six Flags Holland , Walibi Flevo and De Flevohof
[edit] Former properties :
- Walibi Lorraine, sold in 2006, ending with a 15 year ownership. It was rebranded as Walygator Park for the 2007 season.
[edit] Future plans
CDA Parks is willing to expand brand awareness and several of its current locations are expected to be converted into Walibi parks. The development schemes also include cartoons and video games.
