If you are considering a Waldorf education for your child, do your homework. In theory this seems to be an incredible alternative to main stream education. However, the underlying phylosophy is steeped in the occult and Steiner's writings that denegrate Jews and Africans. Waldorf School of Baltimore refuses to label children or to provide medical or behavor interventions, so that the school has become a haven for children with problems that should be addressed. If for some reason you must change schools, once you have committed to Waldorf, be sure that you have a comparable alternative. Reading can be a problem as the children are taught so differently from main stream schools that this can be a problem if you must transfer them to a conventional school in the first three grades.
