From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A waldo is a teleoperated manipulation device. Waldos are used to permit manipulation of items, such as a nuclear reactor's fuel rods, which are impossible to manipulate directly. The term Waldo comes from a story, Waldo, by Robert A. Heinlein.[1]
