[edit] British vs. American spelling

Hi. I noticed you changed the spelling of color in the article on Water to the British spelling, colour. Why? ~ ONUnicorn (Talk / Contribs) 17:16, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Per Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#National_varieties_of_English; spellings should not be changed unless the subject is inherently British/American, etc. If the subject is not country specific, the original spelling the article was written with should be preserved. [edit] Sensible

If you want to make sensible contributions please do not create articles like Walsh Gang. It will shortly be deleted. Do not create it again. Fan-1967 17:28, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

What's there has no useful content at all, and adds nothing to what's already in the Johnny Walsh article. If you believe there's potential for a decent article there, find the material first. Fan-1967 17:32, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
Actually proof isn't the issue here, although verifiability is a requirement. The issue here is that the article didn't say anything at all except that it was a gang with Johnny Walsh. No dates, no city or country, no real information at all. Any article should have enough information that if someone finds it by accident they should be able to undertsand what it's about, and what the context is.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful. I strongly recommend you read them.
