  • Orbifold notation: 4*2.
  • The group "p4g" has a rotation of order four (90 degrees), but only has reflections in two directions, which are perpendicular. There are rotations of order two (180 degrees) whose centres are located at the intersections of reflection axes. It has glide reflections axes in between the reflection axes.

Is is a checkerboard pattern with each "black square" being a horizontally and vertically symmetric square, and with the "white square" found by rotating the first by 90°.
