Talk:Walton-on-Thames

[edit] Mick Hucknall
How is it that Mick Hucknall is listed under "Natives from Walton-on-Thames"
when his own wiki says he was born in Manchester?
Can we clarify Native? Do we mean he lives there now?

I have tidied up the page a bit. Hope it's OK with you all. The list of external links was unnecessarily long and some were non-encyclopedic. Some linked back as references so I put them there. Some I deleted. This is the previous list
- Walton-on-Thames.org
- The Heart of Walton - town centre redevelopment
- Elmbridge Online
- Old Walton Bridge - Canaletto
- The Walton Society
- St Erconwalds Church - Catholic Church in Walton
- Walton Baptist Church
- Walton C-of-E parish
- Walton & Hersham FC
- Esher and Walton Conservatives
- Councillor Rachael Lake, Walton North
- Walton Black Belt Academy Kickboxing
I also deleted the name Amanda Dowler from the people born here. It was a very sad case but whilst it is relevant to society as a whole, it is not really relevant to the town; in my view. Put it back in if you feel it should be there. SuzanneKn 16:11, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Amanda Dowler
I see that references to this murder have crept back. I am not sure they are really relevant to the character of the town. Many wonderful and sad events happen in every town but it is not defined by a tragic murder. I would prefer if someone else could remove the reference or perhaps note here why they feel it is relevent. Thanks SuzanneKn (talk) 19:51, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
The person them self is notable as hey have a wikipedia page. For the fullness of information on wikipedia, at least some refence to this person should be made.--Lucy-marie (talk) 20:26, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
