Uh, is that supposed to be "first black mayor in the United States"? If that's supposed to be "first black mayor of DC," I think it might be the most asinine aside I've ever seen. They've all been black, and being that he was the first mayor ever, of course he was the first black one. -VJ 09:25, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

First black mayor of a major American city. Removing all parenthetical asides from that first sentence, because they're worthless. -VJ 09:27, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
