[edit] Swift Report satire
The swift report website used as the "source" for the inaugural menu is full of satire, and all other references to that as the inaugural menu point to it as the source, rather than a more well known source like the nytimes, washington post/times etc. Also the post here discussing the menu has a retraction posted at the top of the post. post at chez pim -- 68.211.74.252
- Agreed, swift report source looks like satire or political humor. --MarsRover 02:38, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
While not as awesome as Stephen Colbert's speech at the Whitehouse press dinner, Scheib's tribute to donor recipes are awesome satire. Heck, because he did this as part of his job (which is not being a comedian) perhaps it is more impressive than Colbert's speech.
Walter Scheib, I salute you! Funkyj 18:08, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Advertisement/new direction
Before I reverted this page this article was a word for word copy of his website. The user said he had permission from Scheib but the point is irrelevant: it didn't just read like an advertisement it WAS an advertisement. Not what an encyclopedia is about. I'm taking this article on as a project for myself. Later this week I'm going to fact check some of the more odd claims (the 2005 inaugural dinner claim, him being fired for making french food?), until then the article isn't going to be very good, but at least it'll be original.
