Talk:Walter Francis Sullivan
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I would like to expand this article. If Bishop DiLorenzo gets a (justifiably) detailed article, Bishop Sullivan also deserves one. I'm wondering, though, if anyone has information about his activities since his retirement in 2003.~~
This says that Bishop Sullivan is dead, however http://www.richmonddiocese.org/sullivan/index.htm seems to indicate otherwise. I think the confusion is due to the death on 1/1/2007 of Rev. Msgr. William V. Sullivan, J.C.L., who at the time was Pastor of the Cathedral. (see http://www.richmonddiocese.org/diolist/deceased.asp) (The fact that the pastor of the Cathedral Parish has the same last name of as the 11th Bishop of Richmond has caused confusion for years) 4.248.230.131 04:47, 14 April 2007 (UTC) A Catholic in the Diocese of Richmond
The article as it is today says NOTHING about Bishop Sullivan being dead. He is alive and doing well on the Confirmation circuit of the diocese aiding his successor in this form of bishop's ministry. It does say he is currently resides in St. Paul's Parish of Richmond, VA. If anyone wants to and can add more information about Bishop Sullivan, please do. I added what I could reference or prove or witnessed myself. I would ask any other contributors to do the same.
