Correction: General Greene, CMC, USMC duty ended December 31, 1967. However, his interest and advice to Vietnamese POW activity continued through 1986. Vietnamese operation code name: "Belmont". CG: former VNCMC Lt. Gen. Khang Le. Operations Officer in the field: Coronet, VMC Karl C. Lippard 1985-1986. ADC, Jerald A. Zatloukal. Hand written archives are retained but not disclosed. Some USMC records may exist unofficially having received copy but it was not a United States Operation. "Belmont" was comprised largely of former Marines who were all under General Greene's command while on active service. All by name are known and were recorded in dispatches to General Greene, CMC and President Reagan. Dispatch signature identification: 2024818. As Operations Officer of "Belmont" I leave an unwritten salute for service to the Vietnamese people and POW survivors which may not recorded.
