Wakibiki- Japanese armor component amongst the samurai class, primarily used during the Sengoku period. Wakibiki, a form of armpit protector, were regularly used. However, Wakibiki are not to be confused with Wakidate. Within these wakibiki, two sides are connected into one piece. When the wakibiki is to be worn, you must first put your arms through that of the shoulder loops and then fasten the other cords to the chest area.
