Wait and Bleed is the debut grammy-nominated single released by nu metal band Slipknot from their eponymous 1999 debut album, Slipknot. The song is Slipknot's only entry on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #67. The song is about a man who is dreaming that he slit his wrists and is sitting in his bathtub, bleeding. [edit] Music video

There are two music videos for "Wait and Bleed". One was a live performance on Welcome To Our Neighborhood; the other was done in claymation. In the claymation version, the band are doll-like clay figures inside a lab inhabited by a man trying to catch the band. Eventually, the band makes the man trip, and causes insects to sting him from dropping a jar. The man then looks over the band once Chris covers him in a fuel, before Shawn sets the man alight.
