Wainfleet, Ontario

Wainfleet is a farming township in southern Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada. Wainfleet has very little industry; small roads, and only one set of stoplights make this the smallest and most agriculturally demanding area in the Niagara Region.
The township has an area of 217.29 km². As of the Canada 2001 Census, Wainfleet had 6258 inhabitants, resulting in population density of 28.80 p/km².
There is a small and growing tourist industry, near and on Lake Erie at the southern area of Wainfleet called Long Beach, not to be confused with other places named Long Beach, this area is only home to approximately 1,500 residences along the shore.
A&E Network personality Tanya Memme is a native of Wainfleet. SFB Racing a manufacturer of billet motorcycle parts for companies such as KTM, Wiseco, Tucker Rocky, MSR and Yamaha also has a facility in Wainfleet, Ontario.
