The Waikiki BeachBoys are a minor league baseball team in the Hawaii Winter Baseball league. They are based in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Beach Boys name comes from the "Beach Boys of Waikiki", which consisted of a teenager named Duke Kahanamoku and his friends. The group created their own surfing club called Hui Nalu, or "The Club of the Waves." The club was created as the Christian missionaries' influence over the island had began to decline, allowing the reintroduction of surfing in Hawaii. The "Beach Boys of Waikiki" and are credited with the rebirth of surfing in Hawaii. They play their home games at the Les Murakami Baseball Stadium.
