Waidring is a municipality in the Kitzbühel district and is located 20 km northeast of Kitzbühel as well as 9 km east of Kirchdorf in Tirol near the border to Salzburg. The village was mentioned for the first time as „Waitheringen“ in documents in 1147. It has 1858 inhabitants.
