Wah gwaan

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wah Gwaan was a word formed by Reggae group T.O.K. meaning a kind of interpretive dance, but has since evolved to mean an easy-going atmosphere and the mood of listening to reggae. It has been used extensively in the media, including by Channel 4's Ali G (also on HBO in the United States.)

Also a form of slang in the UK, for the term "What is going on?" Commonly used as a greeting.
