[edit] Note about categorization

This is in Category:Ferries in Oregon and also in the parent cat Category:Ferries in the United States because it is also a ferry in Washingon but is not part of the ferry system at Category:Washington State ferries. Katr67 20:49, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

I took care of this by creating Category:Ferries in Washington. Katr67 (talk) 16:16, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Steamboats cat?

Was this route formerly covered by a steamboat? Cool! That info should be added to the article. Katr67 (talk) 16:11, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] History

Anyone that can provide a history of the service, especially prior to 1962 (when the county took it over), should be encouraged to do so.

It should also be pointed out (if proper references are available) that the service operates free if there are road closures on WA 4, such as those due to landslides, which happen occasionally. In such instances, the service is subsidized by the State of Washington. I don't know if anything similar is used if portions of US 30 on the Oregon side ever become impassable. 76.21.8.213 (talk) 18:46, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
