[edit] Deletion of superweapons of ace combat
Why is it that you are thereat deleting articles of video games? Admittably, it had some flaws, however, like some other various articles of which have been deleted that are related to such, it is rather infuriating. After all, this is Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia at which one should have the right to post any reasonable article, regardless of minor flaws. Thank you for your time.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.34.188.8 (talk • contribs)

[edit] WikiProject Canada on Commons ??
A preliminary Commons WikiProject Canada has been created. Please help adapt, modify and expand it, to coordinate and organize Canadian media on commons. It will provide a common area for media discussion, PD issues and naming on the commons WP talk page. Well, already the Commons WikiProject Canada has a This gallery has been requested for deletion deletion tag and discussion started because a wikiproject is not a gallery. Do you want to edit the intial Wikiproject start up or comment if it is needed on commons or not at the deletion discussion. Oh my goodness! SriMesh | talk 02:23, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Therrien
Do you seriously not believe Michel Therrien will be replaced with a rock? Myself and Mr. Brandinho are extremely upset with your actions and would like it to be known that a certain igneous rock is being supported to become coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins. It's not like the rock would make the stupid decisions Therrien does. Our campaign sees this as a huge step forward for Pittsburgh.
Signed,
Mike Rigo, President of Research of Campaign for Rock to Become Coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins Organization (CRBCPPO).—Preceding unsigned comment added by RockForSaviour (talk • contribs)

[edit] Bucknell Pong
The article "Bucknell Pong" (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bucknell_Pong&action=edit) was deleted and you cited a problem with reliable sources. I have two questions:
1. Can I access the old info so I can have a record of what the article said (and possible use parts in a related article"?
2. You stated there were problems with reliable sourcing. Reliability is supposed to be related to the subject at hand, so college newspapers seemed enough for a beer game played mostly at college. Regardless, if I get better cites, how could I ask to get this article reinstated?
Thanks in advance.LedRush (talk) 14:01, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for your responses. I am wondering what the standard for reliable sources would be. The Wikipedia sourcing says "[r]eliable sources are credible published materials with a reliable publication process; their authors are generally regarded as trustworthy or authoritative in relation to the subject at hand." The college newspapers may not be reliable to investigate Watergate, but surely college reporters' knowledge of beer pong are more authoritative than most others. Can College Newspapers never be used, or is there something else at work here? What sources would you find reliable?LedRush (talk) 16:22, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
It was not my intention to argue the point, but I feel the need to respond to some misunderstandings you may have concerning the article and its sources.
1. I sourced and had wrote an article for a variant of pong which was promulgated at Bucknell. The sources specifically say that Bucknell had its own variant of pong which was used as the basis for beer pong.
2. As I have mentioned time and time again, this game is referred to as "pong" or "beer pong" by the people who play it. However, in order to keep it distinct from other forms, "Bucknell Pong" seemed appropriate.
As for the rules section of the article, these are not sourced on any beer pong article. I don't even know from where you could get a list of these rules which would meet wikipedia standards. If that was really the problem, the rules could have been deleted and the article could have just dealth with the provable aspects of the game.LedRush (talk) 19:36, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Pam Seatle
I have the priviledge of knowing Pam, Dave and their family. I do not know how I could cite that. Daves' book is as I described it.
I have no idea why you would delete this information since it is a page that needs expanding anyway.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.229.151.135 (talk • contribs)
- If you can't cite it, then it's original research and unverifiable and can't be included. Your description ("It is funny, real and from the heart and is a great read for not only first time parents, but anyone who has children") was opinion, which isn't allowed.-Wafulz (talk) 16:17, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Frank McGee (ice hockey)
I have reverted your reversion. Those "inline citations" are not citations, they are footnotes. There are only three references in the article, and I have no idea how to tell what is being cited since they are "general references", supposedly and vaguely backing up the entire article. Inline citations must be used or the article does not meet the GA criteria.
- Nevermind. I misread the article. Sorry about the confusion. Article has been reinstated. Dr. Cash (talk) 20:26, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

I guess it could be deleted
[edit] Tout monitor
The article was already speedied once, and the only difference was the removal of the link to the website of User:Bigguyceo. The article exists to tout (pun intended) his service. I've taken it to AfD. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 15:43, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Strange. In the June 9 AfD discussion (listing #19)[2] you said you speedily deleted Peter Hammerschlag but I can still access the Wikipedia article on him. Maybe you forgot to delete it? Artene50 (talk) 08:43, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- People who voted on the article might think its been deleted by you, I suppose. Regards, Artene50 (talk) 19:32, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

- I did. I deleted it, then I restored it after some discussion with another user. It's in the deletion log.-Wafulz (talk) 19:35, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: History of the NHL articles
Personally, I'm not sure that the game has changed all that much, shootout and differing enforcement of rules aside, such that it would require a separate article. Given that from 1991 or 1992 to present day is only 16-18 years, I suspect we could easily fit the 1990s expansion period, labour unrest and post-lockout changes into one article. [edit] Hayley Wickenheiser GA Review
- Thanks for the review. I needed another set of objective eyes on it. My only concern is that I don't really think a 'Legacy' section is appropriate for an athlete who is still active. But I can see how it will be important to add that at some time. I understand about the rewriting and stuff, I'll give it another go over the next few days, and try to organize the career stuff better. Leafschik1967 (talk) 16:24, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Deletion of Emptoris Wiki Article
You deleted my recent Emptoris wiki article, and am writing to request it be reinstated. I was careful to include only factual content and cite sources, where available. A previous entry was deleted for marketing/advertising which was created by another user, this article is not advertising oriented at all, just straight factual info. Thanks
[edit] Emptoris Addition - Deletion
Wafulz, You deleted my creation of an Emptoris wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emptoris
I understand a deletion of blatant advertising, but I took time to create this article and make it unbiased. I am a blogger in the Supply and Contract Management filed and a consultant, and added references to software in several related articles and to a couple companies and you deleted all my additions and edits. Most notably, you deleted my Emptoris entry. If SAP, Ariba and Oracle can have a page, then Emptoris should be mentioned as well. I re-posted and reviewed to eliminate anything that might be seen as even remotely promotional. Everything is factual. Please feel free to email or contact me if you'd like to discuss. But please do not just randomly delete entire passages I have added to wiki pages.—Preceding unsigned comment added by SupplyManager (talk • contribs)
- It wasn't "random" deletion. Many of your contributions read like advertisements, or namedropped companies when it wasn't required.-Wafulz (talk) 12:13, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Biewer
The BBCI - Biewer Breed Club International- has gone back on this page and is advertising their club again. I did not want to delete it for fear of repercussions.
