Waed is a Saudi musician and entertainer. Her real name is Hanan Bakr Younes. She has chosen the name Waed to start her career with. She currently has Joe Maalouf as her manager.

Waed was born and raised in Saudi Arabia to a Saudi father and a Iraqi mother. Grew up with her parents, five sisters and a brother. Her father Bakr Younes was one of the founders of the broadcasting station in Saudi Arabia. At the age of 7, Waed's first appearance was on TV where she sang in children's program and her sisters were the announcers. She took parts in numerous shows in high school and charitable organizations concerts. Since an early age, she enjoyed listening to music. Her only dream since infancy was to become a celebrity and her talent was very obvious. She has performed songs written and composed by big Saudi composers such as Mohammed Abdu and Talal Al Maddah. Waed's first appearance was on the Orbit's TV 6th anniversary which was held in Egypt. Since then she has performed concerts all over the GCC Countries, Middle East, Europe, and North America.

In 2001 Waed released her first album "Jonoun" (Lunacy).

In 2003 she released her second album "Wejhat Nadhar" (Point of View).

In 2007 she released her third album "Ya Ahlahom" (You're The Most Beautiful of All).
