Waco Jesus

Waco Jesus is a death metal band from Illinois that is currently signed to Morbid Records. They were previously signed to United Gutteral Records. Their name is in reference to the Waco Massacre and Jesus Christ. Their lyrics cover such topics as misogyny, anti-feminism, pornography, scat, and snuff[1].

Waco Jesus was formed in 1994 by Kevin Mennsen. In 1996, they started shopping around their first demo album and were signed to United Gutteral Records the next year. In the 2000s, Dave Kibler left the band to focus on his own band while Nick Null died from a drug overdose in 2003.

Current band members include Johnny Baker on drums, Shane Bottens as the vocalist, Kevin Menssen and Juan Sanchez on guitar, and Bruce Duncan on bass.

Previous members include Nick Null, who died in 2003 from a drug overdose, and Dave Kibler, who left the band to focus on other projects.[2]

They will perform at Fuck the Commerce in May of 2007[3]. They performed at Fuck the Commerce in 2005.
