[edit] Midwest Earthquake
You people are up far too early. I have no citations at this point, but it was felt (substantial shaking) in Terre Haute, Indiana, and also (shaking, plaster cracked) in Sellersburg, Indiana. Our news reports (WTWO, WTHI) said it was felt in Ohio and Chicago, registering 5.4, and located 3.1 miles below the surface of West Salem.
However, one meteorologist (Kevin Orpurt, WTHI) said the Wabash Valley Fault was theoretical, not confirmed. Is there a link or source indicating the existence of this fault? Louisville television, I am told, was saying the quake was tied to New Madrid, not Wabash Valley. (Source is my son calling from there.)
I apologize if this isn't a coherent discussion. I'm still waking up...again... --Lonadar (talk) 11:27, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Merge Proposal
