The W Seoul Walkerhill, opened in August, 2004, is a luxury "boutique"[1] hotel, part of the W Hotel brand owned by Starwood. It stands on the slopes of Mount Acha overlooking the Han River in the tourist-oriented Walkerhill area, Gwangjin-gu, eastern Seoul, Korea.

The master planning and architecture design is by RAD/Aaron Tan. The interior of the 14-storey hotel was designed jointly by RAD (Away Spa, grand ballroom and W studio), Tony Chi (F&B outlets) and a New York-based firm, Studio Gaia. [2]It has 253 rooms, each following one of four themes: Media (with a DVD "home theater"), Scent, Spa (with a spa bath) and Wonderful (the standard).[1]

W Seoul Walkerhill was named as one of Conde Nast's Traveller magazines' Hot List of 2005. [2]

As of 2007 the hotel's occupancy rates had not matched those of its rivals, but it was aiming for a 20%-25% revenue increase, mainly by increasing midweek sales. [3]
