The Shape of Speech to Come is the third album by multinational jazz-noise collective Desert Island Dicks. It was released in 2008 by British independent label Amoebic Productions.

The album applies the plunderphonic approach of the group's ...Miles Davis... album to speech-based source material, cutting up news interviews, audiobooks and radio drama serials.

The title alludes to Ornette Coleman's seminal free jazz work The Shape of Jazz to Come (1959), as well as subsequent references to this such as Refused's The Shape of Punk to Come (1998).
