60 Ft. Dolls were a Welsh rock trio active in the 1990s.[1]
Vocalist/guitarist Richard Parfitt and bassist Mike Cole, who became friends after meeting on the dole in Newport, were joined by drummer Carl Bevan. Their first single, "Happy Shopper" (named for a chain of British convenience stores),[citation needed] was released in 1994 by Indolent Records.
Gaining press attention from subsequent releases, they toured as part of the NME's yearly Brat Bus Tour in support of Veruca Salt. Their first album, The Big 3, was released in 1996, again by Indolent, and a year later in the United States by Geffen Records. The toured extensively in the UK, including several summer festival appearances, and also played a few American dates.
They recorded two sessions for John Peel's BBC Radio 1 show, in 1996 and 1998.
