[edit] Basic Background
W8EBJ, better known as Ken, was born in December 1968 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he graduated from high school and attended his first semester of college. He moved to Houston, Texas, at age 20 where he continued to reside (and attend a little more college) until he was 34 (with the exception of 14 months during 1996 - 1997 he spent living in New Orleans). In the summer of 2003 he married, and in the fall of that year he relocated to Denton, about 40 miles north of Dallas.
[edit] Interests
Many and varied, but include knitting, geography and maps, philosophy and religion, weather-watching, bird-watching, photography, "furry" art, drawing, Iwama-style aikido, making up silly songs to entertain his son and daughters, and drinking tea. He is a Unitarian Universalist, a member in good standing of Stanfield Lodge #217 A.F.&A.M., and a Senior DeMolay from Charles F. Buck Chapter in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He holds an amateur (ham) radio license from the FCC with a call sign that formerly belonged to his great-uncle De "Doc" Howe, who was himself a Shriner and an avid amateur radio operator.
