W. Taylor Reveley, III
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
W. Taylor Reveley, III is the interim president of The College of William & Mary.[1] Reveley took over on February 12, 2008 following Gene Nichol's resignation earlier that day.[2] With the temporary appointment as president, he holds two positions at The College, as he is also the John Stewart Bryan Professorship of Jurisprudence at the Marshall-Wythe School of Law.[1] His areas of specialty include administrative law, citizen lawyers, commercial nuclear power, and Constitutional Law - war powers.[1] Reveley received his A.B. from Princeton University in 1965 while earning Phi Beta Kappa status. He then received his J.D. from the University of Virginia in 1968 while earning Order of the Coif status.[1][3]
In 2005, Reveley was a candidate for the next full-time president in William & Mary's presidential search.[3] Ironically, Nichol earned the position that Taylor would take over less than three years later.
