W. A. Samuel Smith

Dr. Walter Alvah Samuel Smith, also known as Samuel Smith, was the second President of Athabasca University[1], and in 1984 was awarded an honorary degree from that institution.
Dr. Smith prior to assuming his role as President, he was Dean of Arts at Simon Fraser University.[2] He later went on to become President of the University of Lethbridge.[3]
