W23DN is a low-power television station (LPTV) licensed to the city of Atlanta, Georgia, broadcasting on channel 23 as an affiliate of Home Shopping Network.
Founded in 1987, the station is owned by Ventana Television. In March 2007, the station changed channels and therefore callsigns from W24AL to W23DN. The station owner has applied to the FCC to move to channel 6 for its migration to DTV broadcasting. This digital companion channel, which has since been given a construction permit, has callsign W06CM-D.
The analog station is on the same broadcast tower, located north of the Druid Hills section Atlanta, as TV stations WUVM-LP 4, WATL TV 36, WGCL-TV 46, WUVG-TV 34 (only digital 48), WPCH-TV 17, and construction permit for WIRE-CA 40. FM stations on the same tower are former WNNX FM 99.7 (soon home to WWWQ), WRFG FM 89.3, and WKHX-FM 101.5, as well as an application for a broadcast translator from Immanuel Broadcasting Network on 101.9. Another tower about 120 meters to the west holds the existing WKHX-FM 101.5, WUBL FM 94.9, and WKLS FM 96.1, and applications for broadcast translators on 89.7 and 88.9 from WAY-FM Media Group.
The digital station's application and permit are for the WUPA TV 69 tower.
