Vyssa

Vyssa, also Vissa, Vysa and Visa (Greek: Βύσσα) is a municipality in the Evros Prefecture, Greece. Population 8,184 (2001). The seat of the municipality is in Nea Vyssa. It is named after a village once existed on the other side of the Evros river that is now Turkey. Refugees from that side fled into this area and settled into villages some where Bulgarians used to live.
