Vysokogorsk

Vysokogorsk (Russian: Высокогорск) is an urban-type settlement in Kavalerovsky District, Primorsky Krai, Russia.
Vysokogorsk is located in the Sikhote-Alin Mountains, 35 km west from Rudnaya Pristan, 30 km north-east from district's center Kavalerovo. The nearest railway station (Varfolomeevka) is situated 165 km from it. The settlement is connected with Kavalerovo and Dalnegorsk by the road.
Population: 289 (2002 Census);[1] 327 (2005 Est.).[2]
Vysokogorsk gained urban-type settlement status in 1956. A stannum mining is a main job of people in the settlement.
Vysokogorsk means High Mount in Russian language.
