Talk:Vysoké Tatry (town)

[edit] Picture
The article features a picture of Strbske pleso. I may be wrong, but I think the court transfered Strbske pleso from the town of Vysoke Tatry to the village of Strba. Could anyone verify this information and change the picture accordingly? Tankred (talk) 01:49, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
- That's the problem. It is known that court by its decision from May 2007 transferred the settlement (i.e., not whole cadastral area) to Štrba from this town and the changes were already carried out by offices, if I'm not mistaken, however, town's website still lists Štrbské Pleso as it's part and I can find nothing about it on the Štrba's website, just a piece of information at its message board (Slovak). - Interesting. I would not rely much on www.vysoketatry.sk as they have been involved in this legal dispute. Personally, I would replace the picture by something that is certainly part of this town. Maybe Stary Smokovec or Tatranska Lomnica? Or perhaps a random picture of the High Tatras? But I am fine either way because the case seems to be quite complicated. I wonder what is your opinion. - Strange is, that compared to the year 2005, the statistical office lists the town's area under 380km². For picture, as long it is within the town's area, it shouldn't make a problem. I don't know what to say, whether to leave it as part of Vysoké Tatry or change it to Štrba. The original article from Pravda is here. MarkBA what's up?/my mess 20:18, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
