Vyatskiye Polyany

Vyatskiye Polyany (Russian: Вя́тские Поля́ны) is a town in Kirov Oblast, Russia, located on the right bank of the Vyatka River 350 km south-east of Kirov at 56°13′26″N, 51°3′48″ECoordinates: 56°13′26″N, 51°3′48″E. Population: 40,282 (2002 Census); 44,513 (1989 Census).

The settlement has been known since 1596. A railway passed through it in 1915, urban-type settlement status obtained in 1938; town status since 1942.
