Vulcan County is a municipal district in Alberta, Canada.

It is located in Census Division 6. The current boundaries of the municipality were set in 1951. The seat of the county is in the Town of Vulcan.

In 2006, the municipal district had a population of 3,778 in 1,348 dwellings, a 0.8% decrease from 1996. On a surface of 5,429.62 km² it had a density of 0.7 inhabitants/km².[3]

In 2006, Vulcan County had a population of 3,718 living in 1,446 dwellings, a 1.6% decrease from 2001. The countyhas a land area of 5,430.06 km² (2,096.6 sq mi) and a population density of 0.7/km² (1.8/sq mi).[2]
